As Britain fell silent at 11am on Sunday to mark 100 years since the end of World War One, so did pupils and staff from Front Street.
In London the Prince of Wales lead the tributes, laying a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf of his mother for the second year in a row; in Whickham, pupils from school read poems, joined in with the march and also laid a wreath in memory of others.
