Reception have loved hatching our eggs into chicks this week. We have been learning about the life cycle of a chick as well as chick facts such as the egg tooth the chick has on their beak to help them pip during their hatching process.
We carried out a year group vote to name out ten chicks.
The five girls were named; Ivy, Mrs Cool, Rainbow, Sunshine and Rosie.
The five boys were named; Smiley, Willick, Josh, Marble and Blaydon.
On Friday we were able to watch the chicks have a little wander on our class carpets before they went for a weekend stay with Mrs Wilkinson.
It has been a very exciting week inviting our parents into school to see this process and share this experience with us. We will continue to welcome parents into school next week for more chick sessions. It is very egg-citing! 🤩🐥⭐️
