Reception have been learning all about Diwali today. This is known as the Festival of Light! We watched a video which showed us how children celebrate this festival and why they celebrate it. One of our children in Reception told us all about her family and how they celebrate Diwali at home! We then made our own Rangoli patterns using the chalks and power paint outside, this was a lot of fun! We also made and coloured in our own Mehndi hand patterns to take home. In our playdough area the children have been creating their very own Diva Lamps using a candle and jewels.
