What a busy week Reception have had! We’ve been learning all about Africa and animals you find on a Safari. We have based our learning on Elmer the Elephant!
We have all made our very own Elmer using milk bottles and crafts, concentrating on our fine motor skills. We have learnt how to draw an Elephant during our art lesson, we have used chalks outdoors to make Elmer patterns using our gross motor skills and we have made our own animal print patterns. Today we have based our independent writing on why we think we are special like Elmer!
Ali from the kitchen made us all a special elephant biscuit for our puddings, they were fantastic! Thank you Ali!
We have loved hearing different Elmer the Elephant stories being read to us during the day and discussing what has happened.
