Erupting volcanoes!

We love doing experiments in reception.  Last week we did a firework experiment and this week the children wanted to have a volcano experiment.  We made the volcano with a bottle and play dough.  We then added washing up liquid, red food colouring, bicardonate of soda and vinegar to make the volcano erupt with red lava.  It was very exciting when the lava bubbled out of the volcano!
