1B have been learning about Judaism (Article 14). They have listened to the story of Moses and the ten commandments and looked at the Torah. The children wrote their own commandments and created their own Torah scroll.
Front Street was treated to a visit from the Police this afternoon. The children met two police dogs and their handler; a traffic officer who brought his car (and even played the siren); and some patrol officers who demonstrated how to restrain someone safely!
Year 5 came to Reception to measure our forearms, legs, heads and thumbs. They worked in our hospital role play area pretending to be doctors and nurses. They are going to compare our measurements to their own measurements. We loved working with the Year 5 children. (Article 24, 28)
On a Friday lunchtime Gavin from Newcastle Eagles runs a club for a smaller group of children who are less confident with sport and P.E. They are allowed to bring along a couple of friends and get stuck in. It’s now so popular it is full every week!
